Welcome. To New Beginnings!

Welcome to the Botanic Home & Garden website! We are excited to share our wide range of plants, garden furniture, BBQs and indoor décor with you. It’s been a busy year and a half in Botanic Home & Garden, and we have been focusing on getting our store just right for you to visit in every season. Now you can also look on our new website to see what we have in-store prior to your visit, and to get some ideas for your own home and garden. We hope you like it! It’s the perfect time of the year to start afresh of course. The children are all back in school, with newly sharpened pencils, new books containing the seeds of learning which will spring forth (we hope) in time. It has reminded me to prepare my own garden for next year! We have a wide variety of bulbs in store now, from daffodils, tulips and crocuses to XXXXXX. I’m going to plant mine with a thick layer of multipurpose with John Innes dug into the soil – we have a special offer of 2 for €10 going right now (RRP €6.95 each). This will really give the bulbs that kick-start they need in the springtime, so that I have glorious colour just when I need it most when we are beginning to emerge from the depths of winter. Of course, Autumn is a time of such beautiful colour too. I’m looking forward to many walks in the woods over the coming weeks, kicking up the leaves and collecting conkers and acorns with my daughter. It’s time to inject some of that colour at home too. We have an abundance of heathers of all colours in our outdoor shop now. The colours and the textures really add a splash to all flower and shrub beds at this time of year. Plant them nestled amongst the lower leaves of other, less colourful shrubs, for that added interest. You could also plant them in pots near your front door, alongside violas and a mixture of miniature grasses.

I’m planning on freshening up my own front door pots this weekend. There’s nothing more cheerful than arriving home on these darkening evenings to a welcoming front door. And why not cheer up that front door even more by adding some autumnal decorations? You’ll find a variety of ideas in our indoor shop to decorate your front door and your interiors with an Autumnal touch. After all, following all that hard work planting up for next Spring, you’ll want to sit down and relax in front of a cosy fire (is it too early?), surrounded by beautiful things and with the scent of some of our new autumnal candle ranges in the air, smug in the knowledge that you’ve just sorted a bit of two seasons worth of gardening in one weekend. At least until you see what gorgeous home and garden treats we have instore next week….
